About Albert

MOVING from Impossible to I’m Possible

I’m a retired Canadian Armed Forces Sergeant with 40 years of service, a certified paramedic, and a Performance Resilience Coach. I built Foundations Life Coaching for the people who hold everything together for everyone else — and rarely ask for help themselves.

My career began in 1983 as a Medical Technician with the Canadian Armed Forces. Over four decades I served alongside soldiers, first responders, and healthcare professionals — people trained to push through, show up, and never let the weight show. I retired in February 2026 as a Sergeant, and I left with a clear understanding of what that culture costs people over time.

The EGO Syndrome — the “I Got This” identity — isn’t a flaw. It’s what gets you through deployments, night shifts, and back-to-back calls. But it becomes a problem when it’s the only gear you have. I’ve seen it in the field. I’ve lived it myself. And it’s what drives everything I do as a coach.

I hold certifications in Positive Psychology Coaching, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, and Mindfulness Coaching, and I’m currently pursuing my ICF Professional Certified Coach designation through Canada Coach Academy. I was recognized as CMHA Life Coach of the Year, and I’ve spent over 25 years as a Reiki Master with a deep commitment to whole-person wellness.

But credentials aren’t why people work with me. They work with me because I’ve sat where they’re sitting. I know what it looks like to be the strongest person in the room and the most exhausted one at the same time. If you’re ready to stop running on empty and start building something solid underneath you — let’s talk.

My Philosophy

Harnessing Your Potential

I believe the people I work with already have what it takes — they’ve proven that every single day on the job. My approach is rooted in Positive Psychology, which means we’re not focused on what’s wrong with you. We’re focused on what’s right.

We’re not here to dig through the past. We’re here to build toward the future. I work with people who have likely carried the weight of operational stress, trauma, or burnout — and I’m not going to pretend otherwise. What I bring are tools to help you adapt, not just cope. Because there’s a difference. Coping keeps you surviving. Adapting builds real, lasting resilience.

That’s the shift — from “Impossible” to “I’m possible.”
